Study of Microclimate and Sapling Citrus Plant Transpiration in Tunnel Greenhouse Under Mediterranean Conditions

Abstract In Mediterranean basin, citrus culture is expanding rapidly with a growing demand for high-quality saplings. Protected cultivation fine microclimate conditions control the best process of saplings required quality. this context, developed tunnel greenhouse and its effects on plant activity parameters, such as leaf temperature transpiration, were investigated. The findings show that temperatures air leaves inside are highly variable between 6 °C 33 from 8 to 30 °C, respectively. Results also humidity very high – more than 80%. analysis transpiration based reveals (i) varies throughout day (between 1.9 65.7 mg m −2 ·s −1 ); (ii) simulation can be used an indirect indicator water stress; (iii) simulated difference internal define minimum threshold proper development under conditions.
